Dr. Leah Rispoli has changed my pain management regimen in ways that add up to less pain and more flexibility. Previous providers have administered cortisone (steroids) every three months like clockwork. Dr. Rispoli takes a “wait and see” approach, letting the level of neck discomfort guide her procedural efforts. In addition, her treatment plan includes physical therapy. I’ve never been a huge fan of PT, but Dr. Rispoli uses a superior therapy provider, Evolution in Santa Monica. She’s an athlete as well as a physician with a point of view that helps my neck heal from an old yoga injury.

While Dr. Rispoli is young she reminds me of how doctors used to practice. She has a personal touch that communicates you are not a number but a real person who is hurting. We all know that is rare. No matter how good the care is, and she provides high quality care, it’s effectiveness is affected by whether the doctor sees you as a person a number. With Dr. Rispoli it is personal.
